  • Visa for Visitors to Australia.

If you are planning a holiday visit or a short business trip to Australia, you will need to apply for either a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). An ETA will let you spend up to three months in Australia. You are only eligible to apply for an ETA while you are outside of Australia. You can apply through the Australian Government's Electronic Travel Authority System if you hold one of the ETA-eligible passports listed on that website.

If you do not meet these criteria, then you should contact your nearest Australian visa office for further options. Please note that this includes holders of UK British National (Overseas - GBN) passports .... (external link).

Another important source of information is of course the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship. The Working Holiday and Work & Holiday Programmes provide opportunities for people between 18 and 30 to holiday in Australia and to supplement their travel funds through incidental employment.   • Leaving Australia.
