Gold Coast Convention Centre

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre officially opened on 29 June 2004, providing the Gold Coast with its first and Queensland with its third convention centre. The Centre features a Main Arena, Exhibition Halls, and Meeting Rooms catering for 10 to 6000 people.

It is Australia’s largest regional convention centre, capable of handling corporate and association conferences and meetings, national and international incentives, banquets, exhibitions, concerts, sporting and special events. It is the only convention centre in Australia to offer total wireless technology allowing delegates and visitors to log on to email and the internet from wherever they are in the venue.

Awarded Caterer of the Year two years running (2005 & 2006) by the Restaurant and Caterers of Australia, and Event of the Year 2004 by Meetings & Events Australia, the Centre aims to deliver supreme service and facilities to ensure that every event is a success.

Conrad Jupiters

The Conrad Jupiters is located on its own lush, tropical island - Broadbeach Island - and set among six hectares of landscaped gardens and parkland. The five-star hotel is one of Australia's largest, with 594 superbly appointed hotel guest rooms spread out over 21 floors - with sweeping views across the Pacific Ocean to the east and the rugged Gold Coast hinterland to the west.

Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club

Established in 1958, Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club is one of the most respected Clubs in Australia. The Club's primary aim is to watch over and care for thousands of people who use the Kurrawa beach for recreation.

The Club was recently awarded the NAB Volunteer Award 2006 for Queensland for achievements and contribution to the local community. This is an outstanding result recognised by an independent panel of judges throughout Australia.

Broadbeach Markets

The beachfront craft market is held in Kurrawa Park on the first and third Sunday of every month. The Broadbeach Lantern Market is held each Friday night during the warmer months (September to May).

Mermaid Beach

Mermaid Beach is the Gold Coast suburb just south of Broadbeach. The suburb is bounded to the west by the artificial canals of adjacent Mermaid Waters and to the east by the Pacific Ocean. To the south is Miami.
